Double Feeds: Many times, a printer may take in 2 sheets at once, causing it to get stuck. If the separation rubber/pad under the control panel is slick with clear signs of wear, call your repairman immediately.

Lines on Outgoing Documents: If your scanner glass has marks of ink, remove them with a moist cloth. By the way, they are there because you probably did not let the ink completely dry before sending the document.

Lines on Incoming Documents: Make a copy from your machine, if the copy too, has the same lines on it, then examine your imaging unit for excess toner or marks on it, it may need to be replaced. If the problem is not with your fax, call the sender and inform them of the problem.

Not receiving/sending: Check your dial tone for problems with the telephone line. Make sure the line is connected to both the fax machine, and to the wall jack. Check your receive button and put it on auto. Check the number you are sending the fax to, for proper dial tone. If nothing works, call your repairman.

Light/Dark Copies: Check toner or ink supplies.
